The Peaslee community is incredible. The teachers are dedicated, committed and extremely involved in assuring that each child is successful. I have two children at Peaslee and I could not be happier with the experience that they are getting.

This school has a very friendly atmosphere. It has great support for children with learning challenges. The teachers are nice, focused on helping everybody meeting the minimum standard. Small class size is great. This is not an innovative or academically oriented school with a culture to help every student reach it's maximum potential. Kids that make the grade or are ahead are ignored. These kids are not given any attention to thrive; they are bored. There is no accommodation to challenge above average students academically. Note: Principal is leaving

I wholeheartedly agree with the reviews that laud the school and staff of a wholesome and nurturing community spirit while commenting that students with different learning styles or needs, ESPECIALLY gifted students, are not well-understood or accommodated at all. Even if a parent is a model volunteer with good relations with the teacher and administration, a child who is above grade level will get nothing different. This homogeneity makes alot of the families feel great, but if your child is at all different, you might find a better school elsewhere.

I've only had very positive experiences with the staff....they are caring, seem to be one step ahead of the kids' needs.

I could not be happier. Excellent staff. Small class sizes and my children get individual attention for their strengths and weaknesses.

I have had an unpleasant experience with the principal and lunch staff at this school giving my children a hard time. This has gotten To the point where my children cry and are nervous to attend school there. I have had issue after issue with this school. I feel that my children are being singled out by the principal. I also attended this school from K-4 my parents also had similar issues back then. Hopefully, The school most likely does not mean to single out students, however it is human nature.

I would agree with other reviewers. The atmosphere at Peaslee is inclusive and wholesome. However, there is little room for different learning styles and no room for academic challenges for the gifted. Unfortunate, because it is a nice community.Music opportunities at elementary level have also varied with district budget issues from year to year.

Nurturing environment for a young child, but very limited advanced academic programs. PTA is very active and opportunity for parent involvement is high.

Peaslee is an amazingly friendly school. However, we have had problems getting appropriate academic support for our gifted daughter.
