This school is terrific--the staff is caring and energetic. Teachers work as a cohesive group to create a stimulating learning environment. It is a small neighborhood school in which each child is more than a number. My 3rd grade student and my 1st grade student are excelling academically while also making friends with a diverse group of great kids. They have also enjoyed some incredible enrichment programs this year thanks to generous funding by our active PTO. I cannot imagine my children elsewhere.
My daughter has been a student at the Oldham School for 4 years. The dedication that the principal, teachers, shool nurse and every member of that school to the students and their families is amazing. The PTO works diligently in support of the school. There has been many offerings of extracurricular activities this year, in a variety of activities, such as sports, knitting, jewelry making, art, computer and extra homework help. The classroom work appears interesting,it keeps my daughter involved, for example spelling and math baseball. Bookreports are written in a different format every month.I am not a member of the PTO, but I am proud to say my daughter is an Oldham student.
If you like small class sizes, super teachers, a very dynamic PTO, a fabulous school RN, great special ed resources, friendly faces, diversity at its best, an involved principal - then the Oldham is the elementary school for you. We are absolutely thrilled with the Oldham! Contrary to previous posts - everyone does speak English.
This is a wonderful school for your children to get all their educational needs meet with the support of a caring and professional staff. The staff is amazing at communicating with parents and working together as a collaborative team. These are some of the many atributes of an excellent school that speaks volumes to parents. We feel very fortuate that our children attend the Oldham School and we commend all the teachers, staff and principal for making this school such a wonderful place to learn and for the children to come to each and every day!
The staff truly cares about the educational and emotional needs of the children. They all work as a cohesive team to ensure each child is making effective progress!
I have nothing but good things to say about this school. The staff is excellent and everyone is so friendly. My children are getting an excellent education and all of their needs are met. And everyone does speak english. I'm proud to say I'm an Oldham parent :)
The class sizes are small and teachers are very good with the students. It is a diverse population but good programs and strong PTA. The principal seems to know each student and is very available to parents.
The faculty and staff at the Oldham are very supportive and kind to all of the students. The children are happy here and I can't think of a better school.
My son attended this school for 2 years and both were just horrible. We since have been in a new school and he has excelled tremendously. The teachers at oldham cry out for more help but do not receive it. They are overwhlemed with children who do not speak english as a first language so the whole class suffers severely. My son only learned when I taught him and all I can say is avoid this school at all costs.
