New principal puts on a good show. Acts like she cares about the students but seems to care more about her image and the schools image. Not sure if it's the location or Stoneham's tolerance to bullying, but there seems to be a lot of bullying at this school for years now. I've had multiple children in this school and I haven't been thrilled with how they handle it. Plan on moving out of this area very soon.
New staff, principal have ruined this school. Secretary and office aid gossip about students, parents, and other staff members. New teachers think they are better than the previous staff. Rude and unfriendly. The only saving grace is that my daughter will be going onto middle school next year.
Excellent school with excellent teachers! both of my children attend school here and have been here for 3 years. The teachers and principal are outstanding and show true interest in educating their students. They provide support for parents and have numerous activities for the children. Not only does south school provide children with stability and structure, they truly are part of the stoneham community. I would highly recommend this school to any parent with children attending grades k-5.
South School provides a tremendous learning environment for the children. my daughter has blossomed as she has entered first grade. The many activities the PTO offers provides wonderful field trips for the children. The teachers are helpful and listen to what you have to say.
South School is a wonderful school. My children enjoy it very much. They get a great education in a wonderful learning environment. The principal and teachers are great! PTO does a great job with many activities for the students and their families.
