I think Case is fantastic. The faculty has really worked hard to make it a great place for their students. The staff is professional, they provide a sound curriculum for all students whethers the lowest level or highest. My daughters received an excellent education there and they are now both succeeding in the college careers.
Both the AP and Honors programs are great....but what I like best about Case is the Drama Dept......nearly three quarters of the student body is involved. If you want to belong to an exeptional group, who welcomes all, join Drama.
the conditions of this school is deplorable and the staff is less than satisfactory
the honors program and advanced placement at case is terrific the Drama dept is exceptional
If you want to experience anxiety, depression, ostracism, to mention a few, send your child to Case. It's become a military school...the only difference is they are selective as to who they pick on. Their nasty rules only apply to the 'average' student. If you have an A-B child, you may just make it out alive after your 4 years are over...unless you have more than 1 child. I'll be happy to share stories about the devastation some of the staff has brought not only to the life of my child but to my whole family. I feel as if I'm living in one of those, 'Lifetime Movies.' You know the one where the child is abused and the parent goes on a rampage to save his/her life? Again, the only difference is that there is no happy ending here....perhaps after graduation.
My child was recently enrolled at Case. Due to a move to Fall river, he had to transfer to Durfee. That was a few monthes ago, and I am now looking to move back to Swansea. I feel the educational experience he received at Case was much more involved in the actual teaching of students, rather than dealing with the disruptions in the classes that my son now attends. Also, Case has a 'normal' school year, with main classes like math all year. Durfee has 4 quarters like other schools, but each quarter has a whole different set of classes. I do wish Case had more extracurricular activities. Parental involvement seemed a lot important at Case than it seems to be at Durfee also. We can't wait to go back!!
