great school. family atmosphere . wonderful teachers. I have only heard good things about this school from a number of parents.

Overrated. It is 'okay' just not as great as everyone seems to think before having their kid enrolled. Stale teaching and hyper-intense parents. The strong, highly educated gene pool can account for the high standardized testing scores coming out of this school!

Upham is a very good school, but my child complains often about the principal who started the '03-'04 year. Upham has excellent academics, but can never compare to the top private schools in the area. My only complaint is that the principal is very bad and children do not have a proper role model to look up to. The principal does not understand how to be a leader, and take criticism.

Excellent academics, caring teachers, and a wide array of activities for all interests -- what more can you say? This is an off-the-charts school, and we and our children are fortunate to attend.

Upham is an amazing school, with the highest quality teachers and administration. It is a close-knit community school, where everyone helps each other out. The quality of education is incredible. There are so many extras here, due to the wonderful PTO and involvement of parents. We have top-notch programming, which many schools do not have. The principal is so involved with the children.she sits with them at lunch and knows each child individually. She treats the teachers well, and everyone seems happy to be here. I have never heard a complaint about Upham.

All of our children have attended this school, k-5. It is a small, community oriented school. All our kids have done great there. At all levels the teachers do a great job at balancing education and social learning and there is a tremendous amount of parent involvement. If you're moving to Wellesley, I would highly recommend this district.

Our son has attended Upham K - 5, and has thrived. It is the smallest of Wellesley's 7 elementary schools and has a great 'community' feel. Parent involvement is high. Teachers are outstanding. New energetic principal for '03 - '04 year. Fabulous music and art, core subject instruction. Special events - science fair, fine arts night, town parade, family parties. Intense, high achieving town - Upham still lets kids be kids!
