About this school
Brookview School and the Montessori method emphasize independent learning and exploration.
With multi-age classrooms, older children gain leadership skills as they guide younger students through works that they have mastered. Younger students learn in turn from older students perfecting their social interaction skills and questioning logic.
Self-direction and time management are important components of the Montessori philosophy. After receiving presentations from the teacher, children are responsible for planning and prioritizing their follow-up work.
All students share in the responsiblity of caring for their classroom and school environment which fosters self-confidence and accountability.
