Cornerstone elementary had been rated the # 1 school in the city of Detroit. Cornerstone prepares children for life and leadership with a Christ-centered foundation. With a high school graduation rate for Cornerstone alums of 95%, students are equipped to be successful in and beyond high school.

My son had an excellent academic and social experience at the Iroquois Campus from grades K-5. However, at the Nevada Middle School Campus, it was terrible. For example, there was no discipline of the students who were out of control, that is, there was no monitoring. There were many fights between students in which a couple, I have personally witnessed. The math and science programs were weak, some of the teachers seemed to care less about the students, a lot of cliques as well as a lot of bullying! For a supposely Christian based school, it was lapsed. Education and Christianity was not first and foremost. The school's administration were only concerned whether tution payment had been made. if not then your child was suspended without notification at times. So your child sits out of school when payment arrangements could have been made. Just like some public schools-no Jesus

EXCELLENT! is the only way to describe the Iroquois Campus. My Daughters have attended this campus since kindergarten. The staff is excellent! Love you Mrs. Jones! They received a premuim educaton in a small classroom setting. Wonderful family/parent participation. We moved from the city this year to a area that offers a 'Quality Education' My daughter could not finish out her last few years. If I could I would make the commute back to Cornerstone! Peace of Mind is priceless!

My child has attended this campus since kindergarten and I am very very pleased with the education and the family setting that this campus has. Everyone staff, parents and children are like family. You never have to worry about your child at this campus.

My child has attended this campus since kindergarten, i am so pleased with the cirriculum the hands on teaching, discipline, and religous teachings. Ms. Thompson is a excellent kindergarten teacher, and Ms. Murray is an excellent 1st grade teacher. I love this school and so does my daughter. The school does a lot for the childrens self esteem, and teaches them values and lots of life skills.

I love this school - my daughter excelled in her studies and her social skills - my only regret is that she has to leave this campus to continue at Cornerstone. I hope that the nevada campus will continue to meet my high expectations. The staff is excellent and I love the small class sizes.

This campus is an excellent location for children who need smaller classroom sizes. The staff is truly dedicated to the overall success of each child, and the parental involvement lends itself to the 'family' atmosphere that this school embodies as you enter its doors.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
