I have three children who have attended Gaines Elementary. We love this school! Starting the minute you walk through the front door, the office staff are friendly and helpful and very on top of things. The teachers really look out for your children as well, above and beyond academically (although they're top-notch there, as well!). It seems like everyone knows my kids names, from the teachers, principal, playground aids, cafeteria, even the custodians. The PTO sponsors several activities and encourage all parents to be involved. It's a great place to learn and have fun at the same time. I look forward to sending my fourth child there next year as well. (and then we're done!) =)
I have a son and a daughter that attend Gaines Elementary School and we LOVE it! The principal, teachers and staff are very caring and involved with the children! We moved into the area specifically so our children could attend Swartz Creek Schools and we couldn't have picked a better Elementary School :)
The hole staff is great an wonderfull with the kids
I don't think there is a better ele school out there then Gaines. The principal is a wonderful roll model for all ages.he shows the kids not only strength and honorable charater traits but humor and understanding. They completely incourage parent involvement and every teacher seems to really care about your kids and enjoy thier jobs
Gaines Elementary has a continuity of leadership, staff, and parent involvement that makes it an extraordinary family atmosphere. Teachers work well together. Academic standards are high. A weak area is music and art, where they currently do not have a permanent teacher. The temporary music and art teacher is adequate for basic development in this area, but students who have a strong interest in art and music would need to be challenged outside the school arena. There is a gymnasium which is a great plus for physical education and a convenient place with ample space to hold special events. The PTO is a small group but active and works diligently to offer students special educational assemblies. The cafeteria has won top honors for its sanitary conditions year after year and has a salad bar every day. Principal is an excellent leader who stresses respect and character development among students and staff.
