i am a student from this past year and coming here was the best thing ever mr.k and mr.f are the best teachers ever!!! trips into the zoo are awesome hiking in the woods are cool 2. one sad thing is leaving camp was sad at the end of the year. saying our last good byes but if u have trouble picking a school for ur 6th grade pickk zoo school -(2010-2011) student
I am currently a student here (2009-2010) and I have learned so much and the school year isn't even over yet. Also,Mr.H and Mr.K are the greatest teachers ever. I love it here and I am so happy that i left former school to come here. Even though I left my friends I made new ones and it was worth it to have this experience.
As far as I'm concerned there is not a better school in the state of Michigan!!! The things they're learning will help them throughout their lives and they have just a ton of fun learning. They develop leadership skills, learn to work in groups and more. I can't believe the difference in the attitude and effort that's put into whatever project they're working on at any given time. They learn so much without even realizing that they're learning because they're great projects and the kids have fun doing them. Please don't misunderstand and think that the projects are easy, believe me they are really difficult but the kids really don't seem to mind that they're expected to work as hard as they do. It's a wonderful school and I would recommend it to anyone who has a child that needs to be challenged. Believe me...they'll thank you!
I went to Zoo School just last year and I loved It. They work you hard but it is very rewarding!
Going to Zoo was the best thing I ever did. It was really hard though, and if you didn't buckle down and work, you got your butt kicked. However, I met a lot of great people and I doubt I'll ever forget what I learned there, especially the non-academic stuff, like how to understand the woods the way the teachers do, how to build a fire, survival, all that good stuff. If you're thinking you'd like to go, I'd highly recommend it! You will have a blast!
im a went to zoo school and it was awesome you had to waork really hard but it prepared you for the futture, and it was the funniest school ever hikes 4/5 time s a week going to camping 2 times and much much more.
Horrible School, boring classes, terrible mean students, bad teachers, pointless assignments, I wish I had sent my child to Blandford like my other son.
Zoo School was by far the best experience of my life so far! I loved every minute of it! I will never have another teacher like Mr. H or Mr. K again! They are truly one of a kind. Zoo School is fun, but you have to earn it. A lot of people think that Zoo School is all fun and games and that there is no work involved. Trust me, it's not like that at all. Yes, you have a blast and do many cool things, but there is definately work involved. It's not a normal school. It's got a little bit of everything in it. If you're thinking about going there someday then you totally should! You'll love it!
i am a zoo school student and it is fun but you have to buckle down and get to work if you want to do a good job, and it'will' be rewarding in the end (and because i go to school school i got first dibs to go to city middle/high) so i think if you want to go to go... GO!
As a parent of a zooey, I am proud of how my daughter has grown throughout the year academically. She has become confident student that puts her heart into all she does. The qualities that Mr. K & Mr. H teach the children not only last during the school year, but make an impact on the children (and families) for a life time! The teachers hearts are to cherish the environment and they instill this one student at a time! Thank you!!!
