My kids attented Crestwood 6-8th, but I will never send another child to this school. The principal does not help resolve issues, the asst. principal does absolutely nothing, the students are horrid, and the teachers are average. Only a few outstanding teachers. The PEAKS program which is housed there to bring up the school's test scores, is the only good thing about the school-aside from the dingbat elderly woman who runs PEAKS. It is time for who ever is in charge to gut the school and start over. The bullies have taken over the school and even the teachers and administrators are scared to stand up to them and their parents. My children now attend East Grand Rapids and we are MUCH happier there. I am sorry to have put all my children through such a horrifying experience. NEVER AGAIN!

Crestwood gets a mixed review. Most of the teachers and principal are excellent, especially those associated with the PEAKS Gifted and Talented program. The PEAKS program was intentionally put in a poor performing school to improve the overall school performance on standardized tests. The kids outside of the PEAKS program are from poorer households with frequently one parent that doesn't care or can't afford to be involved in school.

I went to Crestwood in the 8th grade, and I honestly feel like it prepared me very well for high school. Crestwood is by far the most diverse school I had ever been to =, and it opened my eyes to a lot new things. And for that I'm eternally grateful.

Crestwood Middle school is a unique way of expressing our emotions. Just in January we lost a member of the Crestwood family,Jack Frazier. We raised over 1600 dollars in one day for people to find a cure for Muscular Dystrophy, the disease he died of. We care for each other.
