I've had two children in this school for the past 3 years- one with Asperger's, and one with high-functioning autism. The teachers have been amazing and loving to both of them- they take their time to explain subjects/topics so the boys understand, never in a way to embarrass or ostracize, and always with the patience of a saint. The office staff and principal are like family, always courteous, tending to your needs and concerns in a timely fashion.
Staff really care about students and go above and beyond to meet their needs. Kids represent the school well when off campus and have complements from guest speakers. Curriculum and assessments drive instruction. Staff is much like a family to each other and families. The principal gets results fast and is on top of everything at school. She supports staff and students and families at all times.
I have 3 children all in their 20's now, my youngest is graduating after his fourth year of college. All my children transferred to Lincoln Heights in Greenville from belding, they were in grades K, 1st, and 4th. They were behind at first but didn't take them long to catch up thanks to the staff. I am happy to say that my grandchildren are going to Lincoln Heights thanks to school of choice. I wouldn't want it any other way. Lincoln Heights is an excellent start for any child.
My child transfered to Lincoln Heights from Trufant Elementary. When he first came to this school he was behind in some subjects. The teachers and staff were the best I could have ever hoped for. They worked with him and got him where he needed to be. I would like to think all of the teachers and support staff. I think other schools (Lakeview) could learn many things from you guys. We schools of choice our son over here and would NEVER put him back into Lakeview schools. I could not ask for more than what we get from this school.
when my child transferred to another school after the first quarter, she was far more advanced than her new classmates.
