I have not had any issues with Norhtwest. The teachers are awesome. Hard work keeping track of all those kids. I don't mind making contributions of hand sanitizer, kleenex and wipes to my kids' classes. I know their budget is limited. To the teachers at Northwest...thanks for all you do.

Didn't get a warm, fuzzy feeling from this school. Therapists have more power than the teachers, much like a charter school. Principal is a very nice person, but doesn't follow up on promises. We did really like some of the specials teachers, though.

The parents of this school have no sense of reality. The PTO is full of woman with big heads. There is lunch staff issues, fire hazards during the lunchtime for 5th graders folding tables stacked in a way that would prohibit the students to exit the lunch room safely. A teacher/counselor believes children with asthma can learn to breath through asthma attacks. Be sure you don't respond to a phone call and rush over to the school. You might just get yelled and screamed at for showing up to take care of an issue. Instead of fundraisers now they demand that you fork over $25 at the beginning of the school year to support the school. Instead of asking for help they try to demand it. The only good thing about the school is the teachers. I am very glad this is my last year there and it is only October.

We are thrilled so far with our experiences at northwest. Our son loves school and every year his teachers (classroom and specials) have gone above and beyond to make sure that he is learning and growing. We are very happy with everything the school has to offer our family.

The principal has been there 3 years now and has done a wonderful job getting this school in order. They also have a better PTO than most schools around.

We have had a child at Northwest Elementary for 3 years now and we have had a very positive experience. The teachers for two of those years were completely outstanding. The new principal goes beyond the call of duty to ensure that things are done right and has made many improvements in the year that she has been there. The new PTO also seems to be open to new ideas and willing to change for the better. So, we are looking forward to 3 more years of being a part of a wonderful school.

We have been at Northwest for 4 years now and have had a great experience. The teachers and new principal have good communication with the parents... In particular, I love the new WebGrader system. Also after years of a disorganized child drop off area, the principal jumped on it right away and fixed it - even standing out there herself to direct the traffic. Great school and leadership.

Northwest is a wonderful school. I have had such great experiences with the teachers in the school and the kids kare program. I feel the school communicates well in regards to my child. Next year will be our last year with our oldest at Northwest, we will miss Northwest. Fortunately, we have a younger one that will be starting in a fews years. Northwest get's an A++++ in my book.

We were not happy with Northwest elementary. Our son had a teacher that was obviously tenured, and very much so acted like it. She did an awful job communicating with us, if at all. He had team teachers his last year. They were never on the same page. We look forward to him leaving and starting his middle school career next year.
