My two children have attended St. John's since preschool. This has been a great experience from a Christian and academic standpoint. Every time the children go somewhere on field trips, or now that my oldest is in High School, I always hear that people can tell which children go to St. John's because of the way the children act in a respectful manner and that they show a higher level of academic development. I highly recommend this school.
I currently have 2 children at St. Johns, and can't say enough about wonderful experience the last 5 years have meant to me and my family. I have never walked through a school that has so much excitement and enthusiasm about their school as I have seen with the students here. I had a project that required working with all the grades last year and I had to bring in a person who had never been here before, by the time the project was over , he stated his amazement of how curtious and wonderful the students were. I told him that it was the Christian foundation that was just as important to the mission of the school as much as acedemics. You won't get a more well rounded child than one that comes from St. John's Lutheran School. I recommend this school very highly to anyone who wants the best.
As a parent of two children who are currently attending St. John s Lutheran School and have since preschool, I couldn t be more thrilled with the education that my children are receiving. The Christ-based curriculum offers a high level of academics (with SAT scores averaging higher than public schools) for preschool through eighth grade and is accredited by both National Lutheran School Accreditation and Michigan Nonpublic School Accrediting Association. The class sizes are smaller, which allow the teachers to build stronger relationships with their students. The teachers are dynamic and offer individualized attention to each family. My children are learning how to welcome every challenge with strength, faith and confidence, which is building a strong foundation for a lifetime of learning. I highly recommend this school!
This school has been a big didappointment. It is probably fine for some kids, but my second grader had a hard time with lack of support from the administration reguarding bullying and discipline issues even after submitting written proof. The reading program is outstanding, however math is shocklingly poor in upper grades. I can only recommend this school if reading is all one is interested in.
