Not happy with Montrose Schools. Teachers don't seem to have time to help kids, and too much bullying. Serious lack of discipline.

I am an alumni of this school who moved away and then returned to have my children attend school here. Yes, there is a large focus on athletics, but with student-led initiatives, they are open to widening the focus on other activities. I would love to see our marching band come back, but we have a terrific jazz band and a great drama club. The scholastic aspect is wonderful; my children are getting first class education, they are both at the top of their classes. The teachers are willing to work with parents and encourage parental involvement. I highly recommend this school if you are looking for small-town life to include a personal and first class education.

the school has a small atmosphere enviroment. The diversity in the school is not very well accepted. If you enjoy playing sports this is the right school for you.

What can I say about this place? Being a Freshman at the school, I must say it is well ran, has great teachers, and is an overall excellent atmosphere for learning. There's always someone to help you so you aren't on your own; there's plenty of extra-curricular activities if you're interested in after school projects. But above all, there ain't any mean, detention teachers in sight.

As a fresh men at this wonderful school I would say that it is very nice. You feel like you can tell them anything and you feel very safe. theres never a dull moment on the up side too. The only bad thing is the homework but other then that its Great and I highly recommend it to everyone...wishing for a good education.

As a former student of Montrose elementary and middle schools, I give kudos to the district for preparing their youth to be intellectually competitive. However, I begged my parents to switch schools just before High School as it is evident that (despite slow changes) the majority of focus is placed on athletics.

My children have been attending Montrose Schools for the past 9 years and I have not had any complaints from my children nor do I have any complaints about their quality of teaching my children and keeping me involved in their learning processes. The superintendent, Mr. Kleinhans is also wonderful and is always involved in the activities with all of the children.

Hill-McCloy is an extremely well ran school. There are several activities for the students to participate in. The teachers and academics are some of the best in Genesee County. I am an alumni from this wonderfull school system, and owe my success to this school system. The administration and leaders of this school strive on keeping each and everyone of the students safe and in a stress free environment. I would highly recomend the Montrose school district. I understand that my recomendation will not be enough to convince you of the schools offerings, but it would not hurt to go in and see the principles of one of our schools. I promise that you will not be disappointed. Lindsey Marie Parks (2004 Grad.)

I'm a freshman at Hill-McCloy and it is an excellent school. The teachers are helpful and always there when we need them. Mr. Ply, or principal is a role model and someone we all look up to. Mr. Beazly, our assistant principlal makes us feel welcome and gives us confidence when we don't have much. All around everyone here is very friendly, the school is clean, and we have awesome teachers.
