Great teachers, and the small class sizes allow student to be able to get more time with the teachers.

I too have had many problems with the secretaries in the high school. They for the most part are not helpful or courteous. They let the student aides handle everything. If they don't know the answer to your question, they don't go ahead and try to get the answer for you as if it's the parents job to know who to contact in all situations.

No one in the office in the high school knows what the other one is doing. Example- have a problem they can chase you around that school for hours and still they keep saying not my problem talk to so and so. So therefore no problems ever get resolved in the school. No one takes responsability includeing the principle. I'm speaking from much experience.

After many failed millage attempts Oakridge recently underwent a major transistion restructuring the school system and building new classrooms to offer our kids an up to date education and to transfer our kids from ineffective portable class rooms scattered thruout the system to new classrooms built at existing buildings and a new high school. Although we still have our kids in the portable classrooms and empty classrooms in the renovated buildings as well as a empty technical lab. Our school leaders will with a lil hope and prayer will someday find a way to utilize the empty space and get our kids out of the portables. On the brighter side our administration offices have more than enough secretaries to direct you in the right direction for info, to bad it was at the expense of losing our fine Team Room and Special Ed structure. I'm sure you will not find a better bunch of teachers in the county's school system even though they are nearly the lowest paid. That's why at Oakridge we all say, 'Our kids come first.'
