I am a current student(sophomore) at LakeVille in 2007, I still have much to learn but I do know this: Yes, LakeVille,(like every other school in the nation), has its problems and some displeasing staff, but they also have many supportive, cooperative staff members, willing to help and do their job. LakeVille has a strong sense of school spirit and also offers a wide variety of sports and extra curricular for students. Overall LakeVille has done a fine job so far in my learning experience and I wouldn't want to be anywhere else.
lakeville is not a good school at all if you are wanting to suceed in sports or academics. Also lakeville has harly any classes to chose from. also if you are wanting to suceed in athletics this is not the place to be!
This is definately not an adequate school if your child is hoping to get into and succeed at a good college. LakeVille is especially sorely lacking in academic preparation if your child is considering majoring in the sciences or mathematics. I would not recommend it to anyone seriously considering higher education.
This school has many wonderful hidden attributes, but the core of this school needs some serious attention. The pride and joy of LakeVille is the music dept. I would recommend if your child goes to LakeVille that they participate in some sort of music program. It will enrich the school experience in many aspects i.e.(teamwork, self-esteem) Most importantly you will not find a teacher in the area that cares more about your student, then the teachers in the music program.
If I was to say one thing about the LakeVille School System it would be 'that it is a joke'. Most of the teacher do not care about the children they are teaching and only put the bare min. into there work. I don't think they ever heard the saying, 'you get out what you put in'. They expect so much from the students yet expect so little from themselves. I have been on many side of this spectrum, Student, Sister, Coach, Grad., Athlete, Band member, the list goes on and on. I can't believe some of the comments I have heard from the people who are supposably teaching these children. The one good thing that I think has come out of this is the fire that has been lite inside of me. It has made me want to become a teacher so I can save others.
LakeVille is a very small school. Everyone knows pretty much everyone else. The classes are there that can help with higher education after high school if the students are willing to persue them. It's a matter of choice. A lot of the graduates to go on to college. There are many students who do excell there but they are overcast by the ones who don't. That is the only reason why LakeVille would get such a low rating.
Over all I like going to LakeVille because of the choir teacher. The music teachers are the hardest working teachers there I believe. They are determined and expect work out of their students and they only take the ones willing to do the work that they give.
yes lakeville is a very rural system but the teachers with the exception of some are n o t very approachable, and most of the people that graduate from lakeville do go on to prusue better things like the army and post high school college. The 'family' feeling is not there and it never has been your the parent you don't go through that school everyday so we as the students wouldn't exspect you to understand how we feel about our school system.
LakeVille is a very low class school. The teachers and staff are wonderful, but the resources are not so well.
LakeVille is community oriented and there is a 'family' feeling all around. We are a rural school system and many of our graduates do not go on to college, however those that want to pursue higher education have the means to do so through the AP courses and GenNet that is offered. The teachers and administration is very approachable which in my book is a great asset to any school system!
