The reveiws for wick elementary school are 7-8 years old. i am very unhappy with the 35 to 1 teacher ratio. also no supervison at recess, cursing and profannty and fighting. they are not adressing the bullying issue they have at this school. Board of education needs to step in. my 3rd grade daughter is very unhappy at her so call new school.. , new student at this school.
My son is a newer student at Wick Elementary, he is a second grader and he absolutely fell in love with the school, students and staff. I am very, very pleased with this school. I am happy with the staff and the events that are centered around family. I am thrilled that the Boys and Girls Club is located at the school. It is a positive environment with friendly staff and parents. I love the interaction that is promoted here and he is excited to attend.
I love Wick School. My daughter has been at Wick since Kindergarten, now she is in Sixth grade. I've been around for change in staffing and leadership but nothing has changed in terms of quality about this school. The school is still fantastic! The parents really care about the school and their evening events are always full. I love that you can always count on the teachers and principal to do their best to help your child.
As a 2006-07 State of Michigan Blue Ribbon recipient, Wick Elementary strives to meet the educational goals and high academic expectations of all its student body, families and staff. We have strong parent participation, and after-school involvement from our teaching and support staff. We pride ourselves in our motto that 'we are all team players' in making a successful high achieving student. Our teachers provide supplemental tools such as Math Nights, Reading Nights, Shakespeare plays, Science Fairs and Community Service deeds to expose and produce well rounded students. Our Parent Support group is always looking to help provide opportunities for our students and families to be immersed in educational, as well as leisure activities throughout the school year. Why do I love my children's school? Wick is a school for families and students who want a quality education, enriching opportunities and community involvement for the ultimate student experience.
The academic programs are wonderful. The teachers are great. Students are respectful. The parent involvement is very high. I am so happy to be in a school district that cares about my children.
This is one of the best schools I have seen. I think the teachers and parents are just wonderful. I must say that when it comes to the kids both teachers and parents are involved. The one thing I love about this school is that they welcome you to come and help out. I am so glad that my child is attending this school! I just love the staff they are great!
