Akiva Hebrew Day School creates a fantastic educational environment! As a former student and Aunt of current students there...I am proud of my affiliation with Akiva!

Akiva Hebrew Day School offers a wonderful Jewish education in a Zionist environment. The teachers are dedicated, the curriculum stimulating and the children learn to love Judaism. The school has a Hamish atmosphere. The administration works hard to improve the school at every level.

Akiva has a well-rounded education, and I am proud to be a graduate of AHDS. I will go on to college with the knowledge, confidence, and ability to strive for success because of my education at Akiva Hebrew Day School. Thanks!

I love the fact that Akiva makes extraordinary efforts to meet the needs of every single student. Everyone at Akiva has a success story! We offer a unique, comprehensive blend of Judaic and General Studies in a supportive environment with high academic standards. Our students are prepared to meet the world with a strong Judaic foundation, and the knowledge and skills necessary to contribute to the global community as productive citizens.

Akiva has a great early childhood program! We pulled our daughter out of another program just to put here at Akiva. She learns so much and chats all weekend long to us about her week and everything she did/learned.

I love the caring atmosphere and administration. The value of education is highly stressed to all children. Akiva bends over backwards to make sure that our students receive the best possible education and technological tools to make it happen.

Why do you love Akiva Hebrew Day School? Because it is the only one of it's kind in the metro area, and it is religious but teaches my kids about the world not just soley religious stuff. It also holds a lot of potential for the future.

It's such an amazingly warm place, with such dedicated staff and families. When someone is sick or in need, everyone helps. When a kid is having a difficulty, they are so supportive and work hard to find a solution. Also, the administration takes the time to get to know the students. Even the highest staff members know their names and what's going on in their life.

This school has some good points and bad points it's good points is how everybody is like family and that's true but some of the teachers should calm down and not be on edge when a studend or studends want to pull a prank

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.

What is the GreatSchools Rating?

The GreatSchools rating is a simple tool for parents to compare schools based on test scores, student academic growth, and college readiness. It compares schools across the state, where the highest rated schools in the state are designated as “Above Average” and the lowest “Below Average.” It is designed to be a starting point to help parents make baseline comparisons. We always advise parents to visit the school and consider other information on school performance and programs, as well as consider their child's and family's needs as part of the school selection process.
