1.) Phenomenal, caring principal who just seems to be everywhere! And always with a big smile on her face. It is apparent that she loves the students she serves at Stewart. 2.) Wonderful teachers encourage parental involvement in the classroom. 3.) Staff is very supportive of parents, offer lots of great resources to help us parents to help our kids be their best. Worthy of mention is the "Bucket Filler" concept that is apparent everywhere at the school: it s an attitude of positivity that teaches kids that we should all strive to "fill each other's buckets" with praise, encouragement, & specific, uplifting comments. I believe this is a terrific way to combat bullying. "Bucket-filling" really is a whole-school attitude at Stewart. The school is even supportive of family time together, providing family movie nights, a fun-filled Fall event for families, and more. 4.) Teachers strive to challenge advanced learners with individualized programs, such as the Advanced Reader program. 5.) Supportive of special needs. My son s rare disorder can be kind of tricky to accommodate, yet the whole school staff has been amazingly attentive to his needs. This is an A+ school!
