I can't say enough good things about this school. My 13 year old daughter and my 12 year old son received an excellent education here. My third grade daughter (current student) has a severe learning disorder, and is excelling beyond our wildest expectations. We love the racial diversity and community spirit. The Childs community is warm, engaged, responsive, and fun. The teachers are very competent and so creative. What an amazing blessing to have a public school like this.

I have been looking forward to sending my son to Childs for years. Next year he will attend Kindergarten there. I have been able to attend the Family Fun Night and school plays to see neighbors children. I love the "feeling " of the school. It is very welcoming and there is such a sense of belonging. This school is the primary reason my child will go to Lincoln.

My kids tell me everyday how they love to go to school! They entire staff is awesome! Words cannot express my appreciation and dedication the special education has. We actually moved into this area because of what other parents had told us about Childs. We can even walk to school on a nice day and my kids love it!

We have our third child starting K at Childs this coming fall. She is so excited because she has heard her two older brothers talk about how much they love Child's elementary and their teachers. We have been blessed by having such a wonder enviroment for our childrens educational growth, to have such exceptional teachers and administrators to work with, and to have built an amazing community of parents and children. My wife and I can not think of a better choice we could have made for our children, than moving into the district 9 years ago.

My family has been a part of Childs for 8 years and I could not have asked for anything better for my children. The school has a very diverse student population and EVERY child is valued as respected by the teachers, administrators, and parent community. My children have been challenged academically by the excellent, creative teachers. But they have also been nurtured socially through the numerous community events and volunteer-led extracurricular activities. Childs provides a superb education for the whole child and I'm so grateful to be a part of it!

We have been at Childs for 3 years and the teachers are fantastic. The principle is very envolved and makes the school a fun place to learn for the children. I am so pleased with the public school here in Lincoln Consolidated district. The PTO is very active and the music program and school plays bring extra appreciation and joy to both the parents and students.

My children attend this school and the quality of the education and the sense of community is exceptional. The teachers are extraordinary and go far above and beyond to help my children excel. My children feel a sense of pride attending this school and this pride is working to lay the groundwork for thier desire to do well. The curriculum and the extracurricular activities that are available to the students are diverse and constructed in a manner to develop mindful and community oriented children. Childs Elementary is a true Shining Star in the Lincoln Consolidated School District.

I have 2 kids at Childs, and have been so impressed with all of their teachers. I was initially concerned that my kids would be bored in school, but the teachers have all been very willing and capable of creating challenging assignments (sometimes just for my kid!). The teachers' commitment is incredibly high compared with other schools. I also love the way the parent group is able to partner with the teachers to provide additional activities like an annual musical theater performance, spring family fun night, various dances and other fun/enriching experiences. I would highly recommend this school!

My daughter has been at Childs Elementary since the first grade. She is flourishing due to the teachers and administration that are dedicated to making sure that her education is top notch. Because this is a community school it creates a bond in our community, with families whose children also attend Childs. I think that community schools not only fufill educational needs of our children but also the need for us to know and interact with our neighbors. Childs is a great place to send your child and know they are well educated and cared for. Being on PTO I am EXTREMELY proud of the parent involvement. Afterall a school is only as good as it's parent involvement. I believe this one is excellent.

Our family has been involved in the school for four years now and we are still very thrilled to be a part of the Childs community. The teachers have been excellent as well as the parent/teacher interactions that we have experienced. The teachers have always went above and beyond to discuss my child's academics, which helped us focus on certain aspects at home. I have been impressed with the quality of the Specials that are offered as well as the building and grounds areas. Our family is active in school events and we have met many wonderful families. We look forward to our youngest attending kindergarten at Childs next year as we know her experience will be wonderful.

We have been extremely pleased with the education our son has received while at Childs. The teachers are excellent and have kept him challenged every year. More importantly, they have nourished his love of learning. I love the sense of community we've found at Childs. The PTO is very active and there are many activities for the children and their families.

I adore Child's Elementary! The teachers at Child's have created a school climate that is inviting and nurturing! The school building itself lends to a collaborative learning environment. It is evidient a lot of thought went into the construction of this builidng and how students learn best. There are numerous after school activities for my 3 children to particpate in. My children love this school and so do I! My children have been extrememly successful in their education, and I give this success to the teachers, the close knit neighborhood, the PTO, and the value my husband and I put on education as well. I am a teacher in a neighboring district, and I would not send my kids anywhere else! I am a proud mom of Child's Elementary and of my children!!!!

I have two children at Childs with completely different personalities and both have been treated as individuals. We have had only one overlap in teachers and are very happy with the quality of all the instruction our kids have received. In addition, the parent involvement is one of the real strengths of this school and any parent considering sending a student here should be prepared to get involved with their Childs education.

I have been very impressed with the staff at Childs. My kids love going to school because the teachers love what they are doing. The children are more than prepared when they move on to the Middle School. We are more than a school or community, we are a family.

I have two children attending Childs Elementary. The teachers are wonderful and have done a great job challenging my kids. There are a lot of extra activities that the kids can participate in, and lots of all school events that are well attended by families and staff. Childs truly feels like a community. We would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking at schools in this area.
