Seven Hills Classical Academy

My child started going to SHCA from 2011, and he likes it and we like it. Why do we like this school? Their teachers are great, how? They seem to know how to teach children without squashing their confidence, or their exuberance, and or their child hood. Their curriculum is great, it is interesting, challenging and above all their approach to working with children who are naughty is not one that makes a child have low self esteem or one that segregates them from other children. I am very happy with this child and I hope to be a part of this school as a volunteer and an involved parent.

I love working at this school. The curriculum is rigorous and engaging, the students are respectful, the parents are committed and involved, and the staff is dedicated, and the new Executive Director is taking us to new heights with her expertise and passion for education. I couldn't be more pleased with Seven Hills this year. We are new to the school- my daughter attends First Grade. We have had a great experience with her teacher and the principal. Our daughter loves school and is challenged and engaged. We are completely satisfied with the school and with our decision on this school.

My children have been going to Seven Hills for a few years with ups and downs along the way. This year a new Director was hired and words cannot express how dissatisfied we are. Rude, abrasive, no filter...and this person has a doctorate?? The turnover of staff has always been unprecedented and now that I know who was hired for leadership, I expect that rate to stay the same. When will the board get it right?

My son started in Kindergarten at 7 Hills the year they opened and he has loved the whole time. He's going into 3rd grade he reads at a 5th grade level. The teachers are very accessible and make the learning experience an adventure. The kids start learning spanish in kindergarten and then in 4th or 5th the start learning latin. Also it now has a additional school called Beacon Prep which is 6th and 2009-2010 7th grade. Parents are required to volunteer 40 hours a school year which creates a tremendous amount of parent support. It is a GREAT School.
