Scenic Heights Elementary School

Scenic Heights Elementary is a wonderful school with an excellent Chinese Immersion program in grades K-5. The principal is engaged and caring. The teaching staff is highly professional. Even the lunch and parking lot staffers are professional and pleasant. What a great place for kids to grow and learn!

My daughter is in 2nd grade Chinese Immersion. We moved into the district for this program and have been so happy with our choice. We love it and highly recommend it!

The teachers at Scenic Heights go above and beyond and will do everything in their power to help students. My children love their teachers and admire them greatly, and I have a great deal of respect for the way they work with my kids. I love the opportunities that are provided for me to be involved in the school and am always greeted warmly and made to feel incredibly welcome. I'm so thankful for the staff at SHE and the education my children are getting there!

Not enough accountability for teachers. A teacher was not telling the truth and no method of discounting the veracity. Administration and teacher are marching too much in lock step.

School lacks flexibility and is arbitrary in policies. Math is considered secondary.

We love Scenic Heights. We have children in 4th,2nd and kindergarten. Our kindergartener is in the Chinese Immersion program and it is amazing how easily the children are picking up Chinese. The best part is that this program does not cost anything extra and there is no lottery program to enter it. Our 2nd and 4th greaters are doing well and are very happy at their school. The teachers really care about the students ans the whole staff is exceptionally friendly.

I absolutely love the Minnetonka school district! When my daughter was going into kindergarten I found out there was all day kindergarten at Scenic Heights Elementary. Her experiences and success has been wonderful. I went through a very hard and nasty divorce. The school and all the teachers were so supportive and the social worker at school was exceptional beyond any expectaions one could have. As a result of the support at school I firmly believe much of what could have been issues with my daughter did not arise. I would highly recommend this district to anyone who is moving into the district. Good luck!
