Mayo High School. The school has a wide variety of top notch AP courses, excellent fine arts and solid athletic teams. My student that recently graduated is well prepared for college and really had learned how to be an outstanding citizen.

Recent budget cuts have forced this school to cut funding to major extracurricular activities (such as drama) and to dramatically raise the fees on others (such as sports). This, combined with rising class sizes (due to the new elementary school) and a lack of focus on AP subjects makes Mayo a school I am ambivalent about attending.

Solid citizens come our of Mayo because of the participation in community service while attending Mayo. Fine teachers, a good facility and emphasis on academics is offered to each student,

School has excellent honors and AP program, allows gifted students a chance to enhance their knowledge and market themselves to top colleges through a strong course selection in mathematics, science, foreign language, psychology, etc.
