The school offers a positive atmoshpere, great teachers and a variety of course levels that challenge students and prepare them for the future.

The only negative I have to say about the school is that the teachers try to hard to be friends with the kids as opposed to an authority. To often my child comes home with a stories about what is going on in the teachers personal life or what they did over the weekend. I do not feel this is appropriate classroom discussion. Some of the discussions should not even be shared outside of the classroom for that matter

In my perspective I don't think this school has an overall good atmosphere. I think that it is an unsafe learning enviornment.

I am not a parent, but I currently go to the Shakopee Junior High in Scott County, and school is almost over, yet I can't even realize it! The year has gona by so fast. I love my school because the principal is awesome, she loves kids and just wants to make sure we are happy and ready for a future. The teachers know everyone by name and they aren't the kind of teacher that hates you, or yells at you, and they are great friends, even if they are teachers. I encourage anyone to come to this school because here, we have accelerated math, enriched english, and special courses for special kids.
