I also have fond memories of attending this school - as a kindergartner and for junior high. My mom was the "patrol lady" who wore a long orange cape. She was quite round then, and everyone called her "Pumpkin Lady." One never dared cross the street in the wrong spot with my mom running the show. Praise God, no one ever got run over or injured. God bless all the teachers and staff of St. James Public Schools!
I attended Armstrong Elementary School in St. James, MN from kindergarten through 6th grade in the late 1950's early 1960's - I have very fond memories of this lovely old school - a wonderful part of my childhood!!
