Salem has been a great school for our kids....wonderful, loving atmosphere. Class sizes range from 15-24 kids. I think it's great that all the grades are in one building - in that sense, the "bigger kids" are helpful and it leaves a positive impression on the younger kids. It's like one of those "country schools" where everyone felt like they belonged. As a result, you don't see many (if any) cliques. Very, very, nice school.
Salem is a blessing to many in the community offering quality Christian education for a lifetime and beyond. Students score high on the Terra Nova tests and regularly have a high percentage of students who graduate from here with the Presidential Award for Academic Fitness. They are well prepared for high school in all academic areas. Every classroom is also equipped with a Smart Board for interactive learning.
Salem School is and has been a fantastic blessing to my family! It is affordable, accessible and has a A+ building and grounds. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is tiring of the quality level of the public schools. And tuition assistance is available!
Salem has been a wonderful blessing for our family. All three of our children attended and have now moved on to high school, college and beyond. All three had many different gifts and talents and were each motivated to use them to God's glory. We thank the Lord daily for this wonderful school and church and would invite anyone to take a look at Salem as a fantastic Christian private school that practices what it preaches.
Both of my children attended Salem from Pre-School through 8th grade. We could not have been more pleased. Our oldest is now an honor student in college studying Pre-law (4.0 GPA at a public university). The younger has a 4.0 GPA in high school. This is not just a 'private' school. It is a 'Christian' school. There is a difference. A love of the Savior permeates everything that is done and taught at Salem. To God be the glory!
Dedicated, loving teachers have inspired my children to excel in the areas of their abilities and interests. Parents are encouraged to be active participants in the overall education of their child. My wife and I have been welcomed warmly by the school staff and church congregation. The success of students that move on to high school and college is reassuring. The facilities are excellent and well maintained, however, the amount of land the school sits on is cramped. I doubt there is a better alternative in the east metro.
