It is not so much the quality of work in the school, it is the involvement. The teachers do what they need to do yes but many strive and provide more than necessary. Numbers and parent involvement/interaction is a crucial down-point to this school. The school average in many things it does and like any other school it has it pro's and con's. As for teachers not liking to work with students, that is a lie. Generally the teachers are more than happy to work with parents. Attitude plays a large role in respect. Remember that. The school has minimum funding it can work with and thats just how you have to see it. If the student works hard, Swanville can be a wonderful school. I would also advise that one should understand their incompetence before insulting an institution that exists for the purpose of helping mankind.

I don't think tht the quility of work that the teachers dose is effective. They only do what they need to do. Yheir is no extra's any more. The High School Music program is bad. Their Art is getting better with a new Art teacher. Sports their is no school spirit any more. Extra stuff their is not much to do except they did have a great summer program last summer. Parent involvement, their is not much. Also the teachers do not like to work with the parents. Expectally if their is a problem it is their way and they are always right. Also I see that their test scores are down. I think that's could be becasue the teachers don't do anything with the gifted children. All children are treated as they should be at the same level. I have now this year removed my children from this school.
