I think the administration of this school is doing an outstanding job of leaving this school. The principal is a outstanding person. Mr. Fortenberry is becoming a better listener.

This is my school!!! I believe that no matter how bad everyone thinks the children are here, it's not so bad!! We just want love and need to know that there are people out there who care for us.

We have 2 children currently in the McComb public school system and could not be more pleased! We have 2 more that will also be coming up through McComb, and feel this district will continue to grow in the right direction. The teachers have always been very helpful and courteous to the children!

We were unaware that schools offered the opprotunities for our children to grow and learn that Mccomb schools offer... Every aspect of Mccomb school districts educational opprotunities has been wonderful... My children have experienced more in this school year here than in the 8 years spent in their old school... educational field trips, numerous school related activities Mccomb is a wonderful school and my husband and I highly recommend the school for it's educational practices as well as it's strict attendance policy... The school and the district cares about your child...

About the tests

In 2009-2010 Mississippi used the Subject Assessment Testing Program (SATP) to test students in English II, writing, algebra I, biology I and U.S. history at the completion of each course. Students must pass all parts of the SATP in order to graduate from high school. The SATP is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Mississippi. The goal is for all students to pass the test.
