the facalty knows the names of all the children, it is a small rural community and the tax base is just not there. i would not say that i love this school however the need is the only factor that i can comment on

I love Sunrise. I have two kids that have attended Sunrise for years, and we have had no problems. The principal this year seems to be very involved and interested in improving things. I have heard parents complain about the strict discipline action, but I have had no problem at all with this. The student to teacher ratio is great, the lowest in the area, and they have been providing more tutoring opportunities since the new principal and superintendent have taken over. My kids and family love this school.

Sunrise School is a good place to go for Kindergarten. The student- teacher ratio is a selling point, as is teachers who are willing to do their best work, even with limited funds. There are two teachers per grade at Sunrise. Smart Boards were added, and there is a fully functioning computer lab with Internet available to students. The PTO is active. This is a small country school, but growing all the time. A new superintendent was added in 2007, and a new principal starts this next school year. The superintendent is motivated to raise funds to make Sunrise better, and is eager to hear input from parents. Sunrise seems to be on the verge of becoming something great.

Sunrise has the small, 'homey' feel and has dedicated teachers who work for minimal funds. Current superintendent lacks genuine care and concern for the culture and needs of the district. My children have gone to this school for five years - have never met the man. I attend 75% of events. Overall, I feel my children are in the safest school around.

I have had one child graduate from Sunrise and I currently have two in there now. The first one went through school just fine. But, with my other two, I have problems with a couple of teachers, the principal that the school hired a few years ago. Most of the teachers at Sunrise are great, and will work with you on most any situation you have.
