Handles bullying effectively: Neutral

The director of the early education of this school informed us that they do not keep records or documentation or information regarding techniques and ways our child was handled in the classroom and would not provide us with any other information.

Supports LD students: Strongly disagree

- a
The early education of this school absolutely does not have the ability to support students with specialty learning needs! This school only fits the model of the student the director wants attending.

Effective school leaders: Strongly disagree

The leader and director of the early education part of this school is impulsive, inconsiderate, and does not follow through with commitments.

Teacher effectiveness: Disagree

Some teachers in the early education at this school do not have the ability to handle children with any type of specialty learning needs.

Amount of homework: Disagree

Communication between the teacher and parents did not exist and no daily or weekly schedule was presented; therefore what was implemented in the classroom could not be continued at home.

In the Early Education part of the school, the teachers at St. John do not have the ability to handle children with any type of specialty learning needs. No matter what they profess they are willing to do to support or help the child or family, they do not. Some of the "teachers" are not able to work outside of a mold and the administration staff does not follow through with commitments made to families. This happened many times in our experience with St. John Early Education. After following the direction/recommendations given to us by the early education director in determining our child's learning needs, the director suddenly backed out of commitments to help our child and forced my family to move our child to a new school without justifiable reason. When we were asked to leave, it was not a conversation or substantiated with reason/reasons, it was her decision, with no consideration for our child or our family. When asked about documentation or information regarding techniques and ways our child was handled in the classroom, we were informed they do not keep files or records for each child and would not provide us with any other information. They did not cooperate with the public school district or with us. Whether it was due to a lack of ability to help our child or a dislike for our child's delays, St. John was not clear, straightforward, professional, or helpful with conveying this to our family. I would not recommend the Early Education Center of St. John School to any parent who is wanting a school with clear, professional, or constructive communication about what is occurring in the classroom. I would also not recommend this school to a family who is wanting a school that is willing to work with your child to develop his/her social skills, or a school that is willing to make commitments to the parents and children and follow through with those commitments. If your child has no special needs, delays, and fits the model of the student they want, this would be the school for you.

Teacher effectiveness: Strongly agree

Developing faith, leadership and integrity are core values at St. John. One of the reasons this is such a special school.

Excellent faith based education. Faculty is exceptionally gifted and truly dedicated to the students. Visit the school and attend an open house, and you'll immediately see and feel that this school is special. The leadership is superb and committed to an inclusive environment where everyone is welcome and supported.

All of the teachers are challenging and caring. The kids want to learn because they know their teachers care.
