I am a student at festus high school, I have to say that I've enjoyed my teachers but I think the 4 years I've been here it has gotten worse. The school is way over crowded and we have trailers because are school is to small and not enough bathrooms for the girls, they aren't the best. I've seen better. There is a thing called pass (failure is Not an Option) that you must attend Mondays, wednesday at 2:45-3:30 fail to do so there will be the next intervention. Us kids who have jobs hate even if you have a job it gets in the way.

Its like the kids are sardines in the hall way a fight every week it reminds me of a big city school

Quit spending money on football fields and spend money on books. Parents have said their children receive zero homework because there are no books!!! Pretty crazy!

I graduated from Festus in 2007. I can honestly say that I enjoyed my time there, and I applaud its curriculum. I do have a major criticism that I have to mention though. I attended the high school two years ago and the overcrowding was almost unbearable. Considering how quickly the class sizes have been growing, I can't even imagine how bad the high school is now. The building was also ill equipped for a lot of important student activities. Please wise up and pass the resolution to build the new high school!

I am a 2008 graduate of Festus Senior High, and attended school in the district from Kindergarten through Graduation. I loved the school, despite the overcrowding that is beginning to overtake it. The teachers, especially in the High School, are very good at both teaching, and identifying with the students. I fully recommend Festus High School, and will be sending my own children there in the future.

I am saddened that Festus High School has gone so downhill...the school is simply much too small to hold the ever-growing student body. Students have class in trailers, the hallways are crowded like sardine cans. It is ridiculous. I applaud the school district for trying to pass the bill for a new school, but I know that I and many others dislike the tax increase it would bring. I find it silly to spend millions on a new school when there is Crystal City High School a mere two miles away and Herculaneum merely three and a half miles away. My daughter was unhappy at Festus, and I recently transfered her to Crystal City, where the personal attention is much more invigorating. I would advise not sending your child to Festus, but look at the options around the area.

I am attending Festus High School at this very moment....Most of the teachers are so nice and help you every step of the way. Yet there are a couple of teachers who are I think are there just because its a job. The sports are fantastic we have very good athlets this year. They have a strict discpline at Festus about being tardy or missing days, you get a warning your first tardy next lunch detention, iss, oss, and so on. If you more than 7 days of school excused or non excused you do not recieve your credits for that semester. I think that is a bit ridiculous. But it does help kids to keep coming to school. But overall festus is not a bad place for your students...I know the elementry is great I had A+ and helped 1st graders. But thats all I can say. Thank you

I am a 2006 graduate from Festus High School. I attended only the Senior High--all four years--and found the studies to be taught greatly. I am now at Hickey College and I feel that Festus has well prepared me for the transition from high school to college. I recommend this school to anyone interested in a quality education and a good selection of extra ciricular activities. I was a member of the Marching Band and the TV Productions Crew, there are many reasons to become involved in the exra activities. Being part of a 'team' at Festus makes you feel more like a part of the school. I visit often and recently received three amazing letters of recomendation from the eachers I knew when I attended Festus High School. Thank you for your time and again I fuly recomend this school.
