We have been to several schools and this is by far the best! Our children are thriving! The staff and teachers are like a family and treat the students the same. They want them to succeed and do everything they can to help them. They truly practice what is taught and follow Christ's example. This is also evident by ALL THE GOOD reviews the school receives. This is the MOST diverse school we have ever attended. Dr. Sandfort is known for being a principal who tries new things and is open minded to all student needs. She does everything she can to work with students and families. Any parent that is plugged into the school or knows anything about the school knows that we do not have a "pto"--we have a PFG--which stands for Parents and Friends Group. The reason for this is because we are so diverse it's not just "parents." It's recognized that ALL children have different situations, so the word "friends" is used to include all--very diverse I would say. Again, anyone with an honest opinion of the school know that Dr. Sandfort has an open door policy to speak about any issue, and knows that the name is spelled Dr. Sandfort. She runs the school well and the staff and parents respond. Just passed accreditation with flying colors and continues to grow and expand. God is good!

Dr. Sandfort is open to all ideas and has an open door policy to staff and parents. She is always ready to hear and implement new ideas.

Develops character: Strongly agree

The Show Your Shield Program encourages showing Kindness, Self-Control, Love, and Friendship. When a child is shown doing one of these things, they are recognized!

Handles bullying effectively: Strongly agree

There are no bullying problems here--PERIOD. To say as much is a direct slam on our youth. They don't always have good days, as is the case with most kids, however, we are such a small community, they are like family and love each other as brothers and sisters in Christ.

Supports LD students: Strongly agree

We are the most diverse Lutheran school in the area. We have families of all races, backgrounds, disabilities, and religions. Every family should have the opportunity to hear the Word of Christ, regardless of anything.

This school has super dedicated staff that are willing to stay after school and work with their students. They are a fantastic example of what Christ's love looks like.

Develops character: Strongly agree

They have a fantastic character education program that encourages students to show love, kindness, faithfulness, and self-control in all situations.

The school shows much favoritism to certain families. They are easily influenced by members in their pto group. I would not recommend this school if you are looking for diversity, there isn't much. By saying that, the school staff if very "close minded," when it comes to dealing with minority families. Not speaking of a particular race, but included all minorities. Doctor sandford is out of touch from what her staff does behind her back, many times I have brought things to her attention, that should've never occurred in the first place!

Teacher effectiveness: Disagree

Dibbles is something they use, and it is one of the most ridiculous, time wasting educational tools!

- a
This school might have the best faculty of any school in the St. Charles County area! The teachers are a blessing to the students, parents and community as a whole.
