I am a former WMS student and I loved all my teachers and I fit in perfectly no one was prejudice and sometimes i was even happy to come on Mondays.
New Principal this past (2) school years & wonderful staff, make Wentzville middle school a great place to be! Nice to see so many young people that have grown up in the area/district, that come back after College to Teach. Our district is growing leaps and bounds! Says a lot about this great community.
Wentzville Middle School is a great place to be! All 5 of our children have grown up in the Wentzville School District.! We have be so blessed to have had so many wonderful Teachers, Coaches and Administrators who give so much to the students in our wonderful community!
Dealing with sterotyping, prejudice staff, discrimination and conflict since the very first day. The pricipal is pathetic!
We love WMS! My daughter has been here for 6,7 and 8th grades. I love being able to get on the parent portal and look at her grades!
This school can be a worksheet factory if your child gets on the wrong team. Many, if not most, of the comm. arts teachers do nothing but diagram sentences and have the whole class read the same story together. Yuck! Get with the 21st century. If your child is lucky enough to get a teacher like Bernie Reid, Jeannie Harper, Jeff Sullivan, Adam Estes, or Mr. Hirsch...you are indeed lucky!
My daughter has attended wms for grades 6-8. I have been very impressed with the school overall. She has done very well academically, has made many quality friends and enjoyed extracurricular activities. She looks forward to her school day. I have been very impressed with her teachers for the most part. The two teachers that I have been concerned about have been addressed by the admin and have either left the school or are being delt with currently. This is a new admin who does not turn their heads when it comes to problems they instead face them head on. Overall, I am impressed with wms.
This school needs a lot of help! The principal does not participate in anything, and all the staff as I'm concerned is unorganized. They do not handle things well at all. I moved to this area for two things: community anmd schools. If I had knowledge about what this school was really like, I would have never moved here.
Even though there is a wide economic diversity and the building itself is older than all of the other middle schools, there is a feeling of team work amoungst the staff and students.
I think this school is totally unprepared for the growth that is being experienced by the Wentzville area. Their interventions with the children are not working.
I love this school, the teachers really do care about the students, and help us with our homework and studies, especially when a test is coming up. I love the basketball and cross country seasons at the school because the coaches always make it fun and interesting.
This school is the best. The teachers are great and very helpfull of the childrens needs. The basketball program is awesome and so is the track/cross country.
I think this school is a great place to send your child. The staff and education is great and the teachers all keep me notified. They prepare your clid greatly for big test like the map test. The 8th grade math scores are one of the top in the state. My child loves it and tells me that the teachers are always there for her.
My daughter attends this school. It is very overcrowded with teachers that spend their day screaming instead of teaching in order to control the chaos. The principals (who seem to change every year) are not helpful. I am currently trying to find a private school in the area because my daughter's grades have dropped from B's to almost all F's without notification from the teachers. I would not recommend sending any child to this school.
If I was moving to the St. Louis area I would say - move to the Rockwood School District! You won't find the academics you are looking for here. The kids get lost in this middle school because the need for expansion is huge and it won't be for several more years that we will see that happen. The infrastructure cannot keep up so they need to limit growth or divide the school district. Most of the new schools are in a different area than the new homes being built that attend Wentzville Middle. It's not fair. My A student from the Rockwood School District - came home with several F's during mid-term his 3 years at Wentzville Middle - with never a phone call to us that he was having a hard time. If you're smart - you're pegged at Wentzville Middle.
