Windsor Elementary School is a place where people choose to work because they care about children. We are a family at WES. All of the staff works together to help children be successful.

Windsor is a very small community, approximately 3,000 people. Our entire town works together to raise money for the band to participate in bowl games out of state, to send FFA members to the national convention, and currently are raising funds to send our Varsity Cheerleaders to participate in Sugar Bowl activities. We work very hard to succeed at academics. Currently, we are one of 14 schools in Missouri that was granted a MIM grant. We were granted this money because of all the extra work that teachers have done to help the students become successful in a variety of areas, especially concentrating on reading. We are a rural area and many families have suffered job losses during this bad economic time. I know that this is true everywhere, but when a school is small, the bad economy is really felt in everything we are trying to do.

The staff at WES are all an important part of my children's lives. From the classroom teacher to the custodian, all staff members care about and for my children. My children feel successful and loved there. The teachers go above and beyond their classroom duties to help all students. They teach and give guidance. We love WES and everyone who works there.

The elementary school is excellent. Teachers are continually updating their knowledge and skills. Most students are well behaved and want to learn, and students who have supportive parents are learning. Most students who are 'bored' or not learning are the students who are not engaging in the educational process. I have substituted in Windsor as well as other schools and it compares favorably with other schools in the county.
