About the tests

  • In 2007-2008 Oklahoma used the Oklahoma Core Curriculum Tests End-of-Instruction (OCCT EOI) exams to test students in high school in algebra I, algebra II, English II, English III, geometry, biology I and U.S. history upon completion of each course.
  • The OCCT EOI is a high school graduation requirement.
  • The OCCT EOI exams are standards-based tests, which means they measure specific skills defined for each subject by the state of Oklahoma.
  • The different student groups are identified by the Oklahoma State Department of Education; if there are fewer than 10 students in a particular group in a school, the state doesn't report data for that group.
  • The goal is for all students to score at or above the satisfactory level on the test.
