Handles bullying effectively: Neutral

- a
There is not a real big deal of bully in class, other than against students who have liberal viewpoint.

Supports LD students: Disagree

- a
Bad programs with bad book choices (A Beka and BJU - those that lost the lawsuit against the University of California).

Effective school leaders: Disagree

- a
The leadership at school is very biased and takes away students' privacy and personal choices all the time. We are just treated like kids here!

Develops character: Disagree

- a
Students do not have any clubs or activities to develop their skills or interest (other than sports, speech and singing (of course religious content all the time)). Most students are so brain washed to the point that they do not have a critical thinking skill but a biased viewpoint. Most students just do not have a big dream or compassion.

Teacher effectiveness: Disagree

- a
Many teachers are friendly and have a moderate views of the controversies at school. However, there are teachers who are extremely hostile and openly endorse criticism and hate against evolution study and climate change (regardless of the scientific evidences), LGBT rights, and other religions or denominations. That is why students are either brain washed or wishing to transfer out.

Amount of homework: Neutral

- a
No really much homework. Still, the homework is sometimes easy and takes a bit of time. Sometimes, it takes like forever to finish.

I would recommend that you should never let your kids go to this school. Everything at this school is nearly all terrible. There is no AP class available. The school uses A Beka Book and has a doctrine full of bias, hate publicly endorsed in class and chapel: anti-Catholism, Islamophobia, anti-LGBT, climate change denial, anti-evolution, and-science. We are told to have no rights and to be treated like kids (everything is banned - even dancing and cheerleading.) No clubs or organizations other than a few sport teams. The facilities are just horrible that they would just want to use Central City Public Schools facilities instead. Meals are bad most of the time and leftover foods are used over and over again. The dorm is a horrible kids to be at as the kids just waste their time there playing games in the dorm even in the weekend. I regret having been here!

I agree that NC has come far in the last 2 years under the leadership of Woods and Ziegler. Everything they do is 'top notch' and the teachers are wonderful! If you haven't experienced their music concerts, you are missing out.

This school ha improved much over the last few years under the new supwer and it has on of the best curriculums available in a 20 mile radius

- a
The school is very basic. No AP classes. Not ideal for those who wish to go on to college. Ok for small town school. Poor upkeep and limited classes and activites. Somewhat bare bones school.
