My son's teachers have all helped him academically, but none have helped socially. He hates going every day, and has lost all desire to even read or write. The school remodeled and put it all into a gym, and none into a usable program area. The one they have is horribly small. When they have programs in the gym, no one can hear or see. My son says they get locked out at recess and can't get in to even use the bathroom. I ask my son if the teachers tell him if he's doing well or not, and he says they don't. This is especially disheartening for him when he tries to improve something.
I have found that the teachers at Pershing, are concerned about my child's learning. She was having a problem with reading. They brought it to my attention right away. With the help of the school's staff, I am happy to say that my daughter is a much better reader today. Thank You Pershing Staff Members for caring, especially Mrs. Latifi (my daughter's teacher).
