My daughter currently goes to Millard Central. However, we are wanting to transfer to a different Millard middle school. A lot of teasing and bullying. They like to run in packs, everything from name calling, to trying to sit on her at lunch, to purposely stepping on her foot that she just had surgery on. The school has taken action, but they can't be everywhere all the time.

The teachers at this school are outstanding, and there is great opportunity here for learning. The extracurriculars are average. The guidance program is very good. That said, I found the administration to be HIGHLY ineffective (except for Mr. Smith, one of the asst principals, who was quite good). I moved my son to private school halfway through middle school, and it was hard to take him away from such great teachers, but it was for the best. The administration at MCMS does not handle discipline fairly, and it's like they can't even be bothered to get to the bottom of issues. Middle school-aged kids aren't adults, they are still children who need structure and guidance, and I found that to be sorely lacking in the administration. They pretended to be concerned, but in reality, the administration is very disconnected from what goes on at their school. What a shame.

MCMS is terrific! I'm impressed with the facility and faculty. The teachers take a down to earth caring approach to teaching and spending class time doing practical activities. Extra curricular activities are offered in abundance, but sports are not a focus at MCMS until 8th grade which is a disappointment. Other than that - Fantastic!

I was very impressed with the programs, classes, clubs, and athletic activities offered at Central Middle School. All the teachers were fair, easy to contact, and cared about my children and their progress in school.
