My son attended shs last year and we had a very positive experience. The teachers my son had answered any questions I had. The administration is very professional. I can not wait to move back to scottsbluff and have my two children attend there.

My experience has not been very positive. There is an extreme lack of communication between administration, teachers and parents. No one seems interested in fixing the problem. There are some excellent teachers, especially in the history department.

All three of my children graduated from this school. They all were active with the school, which offers many activities for the kids, and the parents are very involved as well! The teachers are very involved as well! Sports are very important to this school, and the teams are all very close! This is a great school if your children are looking to get involved with the excitment of high school!

About the tests

In 2011-2012 Nebraska used the Nebraska State Accountability (NeSA) assessments to test students in grades 3 through 8 and 11 in reading and math; in grades 4, 8 and 11 in writing; and in grades 5, 8 and 11 in science. The NeSA assessments are standards-based tests, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Nebraska. The goal is for all students to score at or above proficient on the test.
