Teacher quality on average is pretty poor. I think some of the ratings on this website were either the teachers themselves or local realtors. The teachers are however proficient in Facebook and failing to respond to emails. They do sell Red Bull so at least the kids stay awake.

My son is in 8th grade and went to a private school until 7th grade. I am very please with all his classes and teachers.

About the tests

In 2010-2011 Nevada used the Criterion Referenced Test (CRT) to test students in grades 3 through 8 in reading and math, and in grades 5 and 8 in science and writing. The CRT is a standards-based test, which means it measures specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Nevada. The goal is for all students to score at or above the state standard.
