If your student is an accelerated student DO NOT GO TO this school. There are only two courses "labeled" accelerated (name only) Math and English. They are NOT Accelerated!!! Principal says with the all inclusion of low and high students the low "aspire" to the higher level, not when the class is taught to the low level and at a snails pace. Go to Bob Miller or Del Webb those schools are actually teaching..... Beware...... two area math tutors currently tutoring HS Freshmen and Sophmores that attended Greenspun. Students were in "accelerated" and Honors math. They were not prepared at all.................................

Our family is highly appreciative that due to Greenspuns (mommy&daddy) oversight has brought attention to our child's drug use problem. How did this get past Mommy & Daddy!..thank you our child is in recovery.

We have been very impressed with Greenspun, especially after a couple of years navigating some of the other junior highs in the area. The staff bent over backwards to help me daughter straighten out some scheduling snafus, and most of the teachers I have met seem both personable and competent. I don't know that the curriculum here is any better than anywhere else in the district, but so little of that is controlled at the school level, I can only appreciate that they do their best to teach with what they're given in time and resources.

I have three kids and the youngest goes to Greenspun. We came from another state years ago and I know for fact the this one the best school in the valley. I do appreciate how the teachers prepare themselves to go to work everyday. My three kids are into music and Ms. Houchens has been a great inspiration to my kids. I am glad for the opportunity that my kids have to attend this schoo. Great Job : )

Greenspun MS is a GREAT school. I cannot put into words how accepting everyone is and how great the teachers are. The staff, other than teachers, are great too. The only thing that could use any sort of anything is the lunch. It is good, but it could always be better!

The principal doesn't understand the difference between an average class curriculum and that of an accelerated program. She is eliminating opportunities for the accelerated students and placing them in general ed classes.

I attended Greenspun for only my sixth grade year, I was re-zoned to another school in Clark County District, I prefered my second school. During seventh and Eighth grade I felt more safe, and less tension around campus. The band at Greenspun is amazing, by far the best aspect of this school. - Alexandra

I have to agree with the other parent that said the staff spends more time playing mommy and daddy than teaching the kids. I realize that discipline can be an issue, but they get down right absurd with some things. I have never heard anything from the principal either, in fact I think I have only actually seen her twice. This IS a very nice neighborhood and you would think that the school system would be better. They definitely need some work.

The teachers are of the highest quality And they do their job well as long as you monitor your child as well, which you should!
