Halle Hewetson is the best school my two kids ever been. I love the teachers they are very dedicated to their students, they go beyond to help them get to excellent academic level. Love the Principal she works hard to keep all the staff in, because without them the children would not have a chance to learn.

Great office staff & friendly teachers. But the school is FILTHY, the restrooms stunk the high heaven, my two sons have told me that the vacuuming isn't getting done in their class rooms everynight. Night custodians aren't doing their jobs. I have also witnessed principal yelling at one of her staff after school. She is very unprofessional!

Hewetson is a great school. My son Marc is from Denmark and he went to this school for one year were he really learned a lot english, before we came to Europe again. His teacher Mrs. Ryan did a good job and he often talks positive about this school. Thank you for the good memories he has about this school.

Hewetson is an excellent school! The staff, parents, and teachers invest their lives into each child. The school's test scores have improved by leaps and bounds. This is due to the hard work and determination of each student and staff member. I love being a teacher at Hewetson!

This school has really improved in multiple ways. It just recently transitioned from a Bilingual school to an all English school and already the test scores are rising. The teachers at this school for the most part are a great group that are working for the best interests of the students. I love the incentives and awards that the students recieve and all in all the kids at this school are 'good' kids--not wanna be gangsters etc. Kudos to Ms. Keaton and Mr. Farmer . . .their hard work is really beginning to pay off.

About the tests

In 2010-2011 Nevada used the Criterion Referenced Test (CRT) to test students in grades 3 through 8 in reading and math, and in grades 5 and 8 in science and writing. The CRT is a standards-based test, which means it measures specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Nevada. The goal is for all students to score at or above the state standard.
