I went to Harney MS for three years, it is a nice school. Always clean, friendly staff, and great teachers. There is also a ton of after school activites for everyone including anime fans, also the basketball team is basically undefeatable and the choir program is top-notch. Its a very good middle school and i enjoyed my three years there.

im a seventh grader a harney and it is a great school there are a couple of concerns i have though the school could have more discipline for some of the inapropriate students and be more strict on the cursing but other than that it is a good school

Harney is a very good school. I recomend any student to come here. The teachers are very friendly. They have gotten AYP many times and have an excelent music progrm. Expecially the choral program. If you want to send your child to Harney I highly recomend it!

I'm very impressed with the principal, staff, activities, curriculum, and music department. Wouldn't change a thing! The librarian is also very sweet and I've enjoyed the time I've spent helping and hope to be there more this year.

I was disappointed with most of the teachers and their lack of communication. I e-mailed several of them, asking them to update inTouch and only one replied. She excelled in extracurricular activities and I have no complaints about the coaching staff. I do have to admit that we moved in order for our daughter to continue her education at this particular school. Overall, I am happy with Harney Middle School. The supporting staff seems to genuinely care about each and every child.

We have not been happy with the lack of cooperation of the teachers involving our son's failing grades. On several occasions I have left voicemail for every teacher and did not get one call back. I spoke with the counselor about his grades, and was informed even though he has 3 F's and 2 D's they are not going to hold him back. We tried to get him into special education classes at the first of the school year and were told they would not do it. Have been told one thing from one teacher and then a completely different thing from another, both contradicting each other. Not real happy with the educators at this school.

If you are a parent and are considering to send your child to this school I highly recommend you look into it. This school has displayed no leadership in my book & no interest with the childs needs.

The school is very safe, and they are very happy to meet with parents, the staff is great and the band teacher is wonderful. The school has no problem with stopping unknown people to find out what they need.
