aweful place- the vice principal is a nimwit and a bully, the band teacher calls student idiots and embarasses the slowe kids, and how is it that other schools in the same district can do something for the 8th graders but not here? because the administration is lazy and doesnt actually like kids, Hey mr miller- why doesnt YOUR kid go here? oh ya- you know it sucks, just like you!!!

I'm in 8th grade here, and let me just say that this is not a good school. They don't deal with bullying issues, you can fill out a report, but 9 out of 10 times, nothing will happen. The staff there plays favorites. And I have one teacher who makes fun of everything, like people who cut themselves, kids with disabilites, and pretty much everything else. The teachers all seem to cuss a lot, and allow students to too. All I can say is I'm glad this is my last year.

The school allows teachers to curse in the class room and allows the students to do the same.

no rating. DO NOT GO TO THAT SCHOOL. They scope children and mark them as bad and put them in bad persons school(jail school). They do not mold a middle school (grades 6-8) towards how to develop and mature. They provide a student with low self esteem and provide no help. They suspend students for days for no reason. Student falls behind. Not one teacher cares.They teach hate and coldness.No spirit at all. Very awfull school. I have a Masters in Education from Columbia University and I taught grades 6,7,8, and had a great time developing confidence and eagerness for their futures. I pulled both my sons from this school and they went to NEVADA VIRTUAL ACADEMY. They did GREAT!

The principal and her staff are horrible. They're unprofessional and dismissive when dealing with concerns regarding the students. They use obscenities and vulagirties when adressing the children. In general the people who work at this school are extremely condescending. This school is one of many in vegas that fails to meet adequate yearly progress.

My child is at 8th grade and loves this school. Academically, the school teachers gave so much and loves the challenge. The staff are superb! They're friendly to say the least. Thanks Mr. Barber, in particular, for being the former match teacher (and swim coach).

No so friendly staff, and if your kid makes a mistake it will be branded for the rest of the time being in that school. Parents beware!

im excited to be going to this school and i dont know what to say.

Our knew principal is much nicer and the schools is great. Our orchestra is the best in the district and performed at the national music educators assosiation conference at UNLV. The acadenics are great with the exeption of a few teacher. The only regret i have is a small one. Some people say that the deans kid gets special treatment since he goes to school where his dad works. i have never met the kid so i don't know is it's true, but it does sometiomes desturb me that the deans kid goes to the school. Some say he gets special lunch everyday and gets special attention from the teachers, like he runs the place. Once again however i don't know and overall fertita is a great school.

Its great. the teachers are nice and our orchestra and band are some of the best in the state. the registar lady is a total jerk, and everyone knows it, but other than that everything is great. It rocks!!!
