Been here for the three years and the next year is going to be my fourth. The campus gives a fresh feel to your learning experience. The opportunities are endless as the school offers many program areas. My program area, the Media Communications with Broadcast Journalism emphasis is very hands-on and gives it a professional setting where you can feel how it will be like in the field. The social atmosphere is a very open one with no tolerance to bullies. Overall, the school is outstanding.

I love my school. Im a junior now and while im ecited to be a senior in a few more months its going to be sad to leave northwest behing. I think the "Healthy Hawks" program is a great idea although most of the students are teenagers and are going to continue the current lifestyles they live, i think its a great jesture.

This is a good school, but they need to stop shoving their "Healthy Hawks" programs down our throats. The changes they're making to get us to live a "healthy lifestyle" is nauseating , and most of the students complain about it because it really is unnecessary.

I love Northwest so much, I honestly can't even explain it. The teachers really care about you, the school is very well-kept, all of the students treat you with respect, and you feel empowered to learn more and more every day. Honestly, I'd live there if I could. It's just... great.

My school has great teachers, great administration, great students, and great support staff. The teachers are concerned with all of the students and stay after school and come before school in order to help students reach their full potential. The teachers and above qualified. We have the best in the business. The students are there to learn. Most of the students are motivated and are concerned about their education. This is my senior year and I can honestly say that it has been a privledge to spend my high school years at such an amazing school.

While nearly all teachers at the Northwest Career and Technical Academy are excellent (constantly going above and beyond the call of duty in order to support their students and really help them engage in learning), the same cannot always be said for the rest of the schools staff- namely the administration- who often times seem more concerned with keeping the school tidy and winning trophies than with the happiness and growth of the students. It would seem that in the pursuit of excellence, the reality of the students who attend the school, and how comfortable or happy they feel there, has been over looked. All the awards in the world won't make students look forward to school and learning if they are only valued for how good they might make the school look.

This school is truly the best in Las Vegas. The difficulty far surpasses any public school and the programs are amazing. The staff, students and classes add up to create the perfect storm of learning!

Im going to be as honest as i can be. Northwest is truely an amazing place. I love all the teachers, and all of the staff. Every student who attends is attending for a reason so everyone has goals, dreams, and aspirations. Im zoned for canyon springs and honestly i wouldnt no what to do if i went there. The fact that northwest is classy and not trashy like so many high schools in the valley makes me appreciate every second thst i attend, and how i was accelted over hundreds that applied but failed to be accepted. Words alone cant express how wonderful my school is and all of the learning is top notch with the best and newest technology. Right now im a sophmore and every student has a great quality. Every one is helpful and this school is easily 100 stars out of 5.
