School Official Point of View

Candil Hall Academy has recently reprimanded and, subsequently, terminated an employee (who was also “a parent”) for cause. Since the employee termination, Candil Hall has been hit with a social media vendetta that in today’s world seems hopeless to contest. However, Candil Hall does not intend to silently accept questionable reviews or comments from anonymous or fake users. Candil Hall Academy is a small family-owned private pre-school and elementary school. It has been open since 2001 and, since Candil Hall does not advertise, all of its clients come from social media, but mostly through word of mouth. Candil Hall has always been open to criticism and strives to make thoughtful and smart improvements when needed. Candil Hall stresses that parents thoroughly research their choice of a private school. There is an open-door policy for tours of Candil Hall. Please call (702 656 3370) for a tour. Candil Hall will gladly address any concerns or questions parents might have. Who knows? You may decide to come learn, grow, and play with the Gazelles!

They would actually need to know what respect IS first. How about blaming the child who made it out of he building VS accepting their own neglect ... And maybe not having that teacher teach there anymore?

Certain teachers all too quick to label children as behavior problems. How disruptive can a couple of kids be when you only have a half dozen. We know who the real behavior problem is.

Jachel - such a warm person that is there to help EVERY teacher and all staff. Michelle - raises the bar for her students everyday. Sommer - Great at getting young students excited about learning and proud to share what they've accomplished. Kim - great at organizing school functions, PTO events, and crazy (fun) field trips. Shannon - warmest smile ever to welcome my children and me into school. Jhonna - taking care of the teachers AND parents with complete kindness and appreciation. Chuck - keeping steadfast with keeping our country as something of focus in the classroom. Thank you Candil Hall for treating the parents like family!

The low teacher to student ratio and the actual experience of the teachers is great to ensure the teachers can focus on what your individual son or daughter may need.

For my kindergartener, it was good. My third grader, was a bit high for the first few months. After having her new, as well as experienced, teacher join Candil Hall, the homework was dialed in to the perfect amount.

There are regular academic and athletic competitions. Often the preparation or interval for measurement is in weeks or longer than a month. These regular events helped encourage my children to keep going as well as have a real sense of success to be proud of. They put the work in - and they were proud of it.

Respect is expected as well as offered up front. There is a very traditional sense of accountability in the sense that your son or daughter could earn a visit to the principle for conduct that does not demonstrate respect. (I know; one of my children had a couple visits :-)

The strong sense of family and friendship is apparent as soon as you walk through the door. One of the things I consider to be very endearing about this school.

With small class size, you don't have to worry about a teacher being too busy to properly engage students or allow inappropriate behaviors to fester. This also means you have regular face time with the teachers so you know what is happening at school and in the classroom.
