We've had students at this school from kindergarten through 4th grade and have been very impressed with the teaching staff and the administration. The office personnel are friendly and professional and the principal is accessible and the principal is available and caring. Great technology in the classrooms. We've had a great experience!

Two of my children attend this school; while I find the teaching staff great, as well as the office staff, the PTA could be much better. Some parents can't afford to pay the PTA dues and some don't have time to attend the meetings. The members of the PTA are very short and rude to you if you choose to not be involved. The 'PTA clique' is a group of very snobby parents who are very unforgiving about hard circumstances. They are, however, very good at making you feel guilty when you cannot contribute.

Our son was switched to Hidden Valley as a choice school (NCLB) and he arrived there with behavior problems. The teacher and principal worked hard with us, while maintaining patience and enthusiasm. Our son is doing better and we continue to work with them for his future. They are the best!

I am new to the school but am really surprised at how welcoming everyone is. I love the office staff and Mr. LeVitt made me feel really comfortable in school. He is frequently seen throughout the school (not like other principals who disappear into their offices and never come out) and is easy to converse with. The entire staff seems very professional and I'm very please with the change from our old school to Hidden Valley

My kids have when to Hidden Valley for years & I have a mixed feeling of the school. While their our many teachers that are wonderful and so on the ball, there are others that don't seem to care much and just let kids go through the year without any standards in academics. I have first hand seen a lot of favoritism not so much racial (while there has been some) but more so according to the loops. If you are in the PTA loop your kids will have it much easier & you will be treated differently. Many parents all have these similar complaints. As for the Principal Mr. Levitt I feel that if he chooses to like you & your child he is great, if not he is cold & short. Clickiness of the PTA/Volunteers and staff result in confidentiality breaches! There are some great staff & PTA

Both of my children have attended Hidden Valley, I heard a few complaints about Jeannie Ohl but things can always get worse and I feel they did. I do not find Kathy nor Mr. Levitt friendly. I feel like the school has really changed and not for the better sadly as far as Office Staff is concerned anyway. The help for children with disabilities is great! Most Teachers are also very on top of things and friendly. It is just not coming from the top, well at least not to the common folks. I miss the days where everyone was treated the same. Oh Well

I completely agree with the last review on how important it is for children to be exposed to diversity in their classrooms. That's one of the things I love about Hidden Valley. My children have learned acceptance and appreciation of differences by attending this school because they have the opportunity to be exposed to this on a daily basis. I am also very pleased with the staff at Hidden Valley as I feel that they 'go the extra mile' to promote success in their students. Keep up the great work, HVES, it really does make a difference!

I think that 'bussing' in the 'lower income' students isn't such a bad thing. Open mindedness and diversity is what makes Hidden Valley such a wonderful school. It teaches the children that there is more than one kind of person in this world. Hidden Valley has been a fantastic school for my child and I am so impressed with the teachers and the principal. The level of parent involvement is better at this school than any other school that I have been involved with.

I feel that the principal at Hidden Valley ES is fantastic. He has gone out of his way to form relationships with his students and the parents. Mr. LeVitt knows both of my children by name and always has time for a quick meeting with any parent with any concern. Keep up the good work Mr. LeVitt!
