Some of my teachers are very caring, and try to he best of their ability to prepare the students. Unfortunately, this is not true for all of the teachers; it seems to me that some teachers don't care about preparing their students.

My daughter is currently attending Sparks HS for 8th grade. The program is designed to help your child with the transformation from a middle school student to a highschool student. My daughter is currently taking Algebra 1/2 and a foreign language and she'll recieve Highschool credit for those at the beginning of the year.

About the tests

In 2010-2011 Nevada used the High School Proficiency Examination (HSPE) to assess high school students in reading, writing, math and science. The combined results for the first administration in grade 10 and the second administration in grade 11 are displayed on GreatSchools profiles. The HSPE is a high school graduation requirement. The HSPE is a standards-based test, which means it measures specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Nevada. The goal is for all students to score at or above the state standard.
