Withdrew my child. Total lack of understanding about children or teaching. Lack of discipline, imagination, or inspiration. For such a small town there is no school or teacher involvement in the community. We found a new school with imaginative, involved, and dedicated teachers.

Staff philosophy varies widely from highly dedicated and motivated to traditional, non-creative. Look closely at how students are disciplined/encouraged to do better, and the level of willingness of the staff to use innovative motivational techniques and you will see a lot of out dated ideas in use. Three children through this school over the past ten years.

I have a son in Kindergarten and a son in first grade at this school. I am thrilled with this school. The teachers and staff are wonderful and have built a tight knit community of respect, tolerance, and safety. The positive energy level in the school is contagious. I feel like I am welcome everytime I walk in the school and as corney as this sounds, am reminded of the saying, 'it takes a village to raise a child'. This school embraces this philosophy and have made me feel part of their team. My childrens academic, emotional, and social well being could not be in better hands. They look forward to going to school each day and are truly having fun while learning. Thank you Francestown Elementary School, you are the best of the best! Ann & Frank Charbonneau
