I can't imagine sending my child to a better school. The faculty are caring and intelligent, the parents are friendly and involved, the students are eager and pleasant. The entire Lyme community cares what happens to the kids and the school. The school's small class sizes are a big plus--no one gets lost in the crowd. Each morning, no matter how freezing the temperature is, a teacher or staff member waits outside to help the kids get out of the cars and into the school. Each Friday the entire school gets together for 'morning meeting,' promoting a feeling of camaraderie from the 8th graders down to the kindergartners. I have to move away next year and am struggling to find a school that can even compare to the Lyme School for friendliness, involvement, and quality-education.
